Weekly King Tide Forecast

The South Florida Water Management District's Tidal Outlook for the forecast period of August 10, 2026 through August 16, 2026, is now available. Tidal water levels along South Florida's east and west coasts may remain below the National Weather Service (NWS) "Minor Flooding" threshold. In the Florida Keys, tidal water levels may approach the NWS "Minor Flooding" threshold.

The District is continuing efforts for the monitoring, operational response and documentation of these events. These weekly updates are intended to be informational for interested stakeholders and the public. If conditions warrant, additional updates may be issued throughout the forecast period.

High Tides are predicted to peak along South Florida's coast during the following days (peaks vary by location). During these periods, high tides may exceed one or more of the National Weather Service (NWS) thresholds.

East Coast

The District's weekly tidal outlook accounts for conditions, such as wind strength and direction, ocean currents, that can cause tides to occur higher or lower than predicted and help guide water management decisions. Daily king tide forecasts are available on the SFWMD's Resilience Metrics Hub for seven tidal stations along South Florida's east and west coasts and the Florida Keys: Virginia Key, Port Everglades, Lake Worth, Key West, Vaca Key, Naples Bay North, Fort Myers.
