Measure W Assigned – Real Property Transfer Tax Measure
The City of San Rafael's local ballot measure for the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election has officially been assigned its ballot designation: Measure W.
The San Rafael City Council placed the San Rafael Essential Services Protection Measure on the November ballot at its July 20, 2026, meeting. The measure proposes changes to the City's Real Property Transfer Tax and will now appear before San Rafael voters as Measure W.

San Rafael voters will have the opportunity to vote on Measure W as part of the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election.
