Statement from Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake:

"Though the outcome of the presidential race is disappointing and even frightening for many, I could not be more proud of the work of our staff and volunteers on the ground here in Maine.

Mainers decisively delivered three electoral votes for Kamala Harris & Tim Walz, and smashed records of doors knocked and calls made statewide. Hard work is good work, and that is reflected in our success in down ballot races this cycle. We must all roll up our sleeves to keep fighting each and every day for candidates and policies that strengthen Maine's families, communities, environment, and economy. I congratulate Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz on running an excellent and historic campaign."
