Austin, Texas-Sep 17, 2026
People across Wisconsin will soon experience a new advertising campaign funded by Oracle and Vantage to inform residents about the Project Lighthouse data center campus in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The project is designed to balance the accelerating demand for digital infrastructure while creating economic opportunity, supporting environmental stewardship, and making meaningful local investments that should create lasting value for Wisconsin. The advertising campaign will run across television, radio, online, and social media.
The advertising will highlight Project Lighthouse's $11 billion projected economic impact, its fully funded energy strategy, millions of dollars in local infrastructure improvements, and its approach to responsible energy and water use.
"Project Lighthouse reflects a commitment to responsible development that can help create lasting opportunities for the Port Washington community and residents across Wisconsin," said Julia Robin, head of infrastructure planning and sourcing, Oracle. "The project is designed to support thousands of jobs, strengthen local infrastructure, and advance a responsible approach to energy and water use. We look forward to being a long-term partner, alongside Vantage, to Wisconsin and delivering meaningful benefits for years to come."
The project is expected to create more than 4,000 construction jobs and support more than 1,000 ongoing jobs once construction is complete. These opportunities would benefit Wisconsin's union workers, small businesses, residents looking to pursue careers in technology, and the Port Washington community.
In addition, Project Lighthouse is investing $175 million in local infrastructure upgrades, including expanded water and wastewater treatment capacity, upgraded water mains and sewer lines, a new water tower, and power infrastructure. The project plans to also restore wetlands and help increase biodiversity.
More than fifty percent of the power capacity to serve the campus is expected to come from carbon-free energy such as wind, solar, and battery storage. The remaining energy will be matched with renewable energy purchases, prioritizing Wisconsin-based projects. Project Lighthouse is designed to add about two gigawatts of new zero-emission power to Wisconsin's grid that are paid for by the project developers, supporting reliable and affordable energy for local families and businesses.
The campus will use a closed-loop, non-evaporative liquid cooling system designed to significantly reduce water consumption. Project Lighthouse expects to be water positive through restoration projects that return more water to the environment than the campus consumes.
