Families from across the Big Bend gathered at Cascades Park for the 25th annual KidsFest, a long-standing Tallahassee tradition hosted by Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend.
Held April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the free community event welcomed an estimated 2,000 families and featured 80 local businesses, nonprofits and community organizations offering hands-on children's activities throughout the park.
Since its start in 2001, KidsFest has brought together families and community partners to create a day focused on exploration, learning and play.
"Reaching the 25-year milestone for KidsFest is incredibly meaningful for our organization and for the families who have made this event part of their traditions," said LaFonda Heidel, CEO of Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend. "Seeing the community come together year after year to support children and families is what makes this event so special."
In addition to exhibitor activities, the event featured live entertainment on the Cascades Park stage, along with interactive experiences for children of all ages. A dedicated toddler area gave younger attendees a space designed specifically for early childhood play.
KidsFest was made possible with the support of community sponsors, including title sponsors CAMPUS USA Credit Union and City of Tallahassee, whose contributions help keep the event free and accessible for families throughout the region.
