Tuesday 03 February 2026
The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates and the United States Department of State are honored to announce the second plenary meeting of the Global Forum to Prevent Radiological and Nuclear (R/N) Terrorism (Global FTPRNT), to be held from February 3-5, 2026, in Rabat, Morocco.

Global FTPRNT is a vital R/N security initiative for the United States and Morocco - it is a call to action for all participating nations to leverage shared resources to prevent malicious actors from using R/N materials to harm our citizens and our economic interests. The Forum convenes experts from around the world to strengthen national preparedness, enhance interagency coordination, improve crisis decision-making, and promote effective information sharing. Through expert exchanges, interactive briefings, working groups, and scenario-based discussions, participants will address the evolving risk environment and share best practices informed by real-world experience.

The 2026 plenary will feature a counter-R/N terrorism exercise coordinated by the Moroccan Ministry of Interior, as well as focused discussions on nuclear forensics, detection, response and mitigation, legal frameworks, emerging technologies, and strategic communications.

The United States and Morocco underscore the importance of this forum and advancing our shared commitment to strengthening global security against R/N terrorism.
