Stillwater Trail Resurfacing will begin April 22, 2025

A resurfacing project on Stillwater Trail, from Buena Vista Boulevard to Morse Boulevard, will begin Tuesday, April 22. The work is expected to be completed within two weeks, weather permitting. Resurfacing improves road safety, extends pavement life and ensures a smoother, more reliable driving experience. To reduce traffic disruption, construction will take place overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Partial lane closures will be in effect during those hours. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the area, as heavy equipment and crews will be working close to the roadway. Sumter County appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during this important infrastructure project. Drivers are asked to follow all posted signage and lane closures to help keep both workers and the traveling public safe.
