Pfeiffer University proudly announces that 100 percent of its Class of 2026 nursing graduates have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt. The NCLEX is the national licensing exam required to become a registered nurse.
This accomplishment underscores both the rigor of Pfeiffer's nursing program and the dedication of its students as they prepare to enter a high-demand healthcare workforce. The NCLEX is a critical milestone for nursing graduates, assessing the knowledge and clinical judgment required to provide safe, effective patient care.
A perfect first-time pass rate is a significant indicator of program quality, reflecting not only students' mastery of essential knowledge and clinical judgment, but also their readiness to enter the profession without delay. For employers and healthcare systems, first-attempt success signals that graduates are fully prepared to deliver safe, effective patient care from day one.
"This achievement is a powerful reflection of Pfeiffer's commitment to academic excellence and to preparing students for service as nurses," said Pfeiffer University President Dr. Scott Bullard. "We are incredibly proud of these graduates and confident that they will make a meaningful difference in the communities where they live and work."
"This group really displayed a lot of resilience and determination," said Dr. Crystal Eaker, assistant professor and interim department chair. "They approached their preparation with focus and discipline, while also bringing energy and positivity that strengthened their classroom community."
All members of the graduating class have already secured positions at hospitals and healthcare facilities across North Carolina, where they will serve patients and communities throughout the state. The achievement marks another successful chapter for Pfeiffer's nursing program and highlights the University's commitment to preparing skilled, compassionate healthcare professionals ready to make an immediate impact in their field.
