Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin Visits Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

On May 20, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Kuwait National Guard.

Ambassador Yang Xin said over the past 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait, political mutual trust between the two countries, and bilateral cooperation in various areas have kept deepening. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, China-Kuwait relations have been growing with positive momentum. China stands ready to keep strengthening exchanges and cooperation in military and other areas with Kuwait, in a bid to make bigger progress in bilateral relations.

For his part, Sheikh Mubarak congratulated Ambassador Yang on his appointment, saying that Kuwait and China enjoy a traditional friendship and that Kuwait appreciates China's long-standing support for Kuwait's national development. The Kuwait National Guard will continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation with China and contribute to the continued deepening of Kuwait-China relations.
