New Permanent Representative of Senegal presents credentials

VIENNA, 4 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Senegal to the United Nations (Vienna), Moustapha Ndour, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Monica Juma.

During his career Mr. Ndour has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador to Germany (2025-present); Ambassador to Mali (2023-2025); Ambassador to Mauritania (2020-2023); Minister-Counsellor, Embassy in France (2018-2019); First Counsellor, Embassy in France (2015-2018); Head of the African Union Division, African and African Union Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad (2014-2015); Head of the African Division, Africa-Asia Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad (2013-2014); Trainer and Coordinator, Diplomacy section, National School of Administration of Senegal (2013-2015); Counsellor, Transregional Division, Directorate of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad (2012); First Counsellor, Embassy in Brazil (2011-2012); Second Counsellor, Embassy in Brazil (2008-2011); Second Counsellor, Embassy in Cameroon (2007-2008), Counsellor, Litigation and Consultation Division, Legal and Consular Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2007); and History and Geography teacher in high schools in Senegal (1992-2004).

Mr. Ndour holds a diploma of Advanced Studies in Physical Geography (with honours) from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar, Senegal.

Mr. Ndour speaks French, Portuguese and Wolof.
