Representing the United States O-65 Women's Masters Team and finishing 9th overall were Pat Rudy '77, Pam "Brillo" Sherry '78, Denise "Gobie" Gobrecht '79 and Jeanette (Newcomer) Arnold '83.

Sarah (Huber) Heagey '07 competed with the U.S. O-40 Women's Masters Team, finishing 7th overall.

While Rebecca (Steffen) Newcomer '06 and Mandy (Daschbach) Mowry '07 represented the U.S. O-35 Women's International Masters Cup Team with a 2nd place finish to earn silver - with Newcomer earning MVP honors in three matches.

While competing in different age divisions and alongside teammates from across the country, the seven alumnae shared something that went far beyond the field: a common connection to Lock Haven and one of the nation's most storied collegiate field hockey programs.

For Rudy, Sherry and Gobrecht, international Masters competition has become an extension of a friendship and field hockey bond that dates back decades. This year's competition also brought an extended network of Lock Haven alumnae into the fold, with Newcomer, Heagey, Mowery and Arnold adding their own chapters to the growing legacy of Bald Eagles competing on the world stage.

From their days wearing the crimson and white to representing Team USA years later, these alumnae demonstrate that the relationships and passion forged through Lock Haven field hockey do not end when the final collegiate whistle blows.

The Masters game provides an opportunity for former collegiate athletes to continue competing, reconnect with old friends and build new relationships with players who share their love of the sport. For Lock Haven's alumnae, it has also created another way to proudly represent the university and the program that helped shape them.

Their journeys reflect the lasting impact of Lock Haven field hockey - one built not only on championships and individual accomplishments, but on the camaraderie, confidence and lifelong friendships that come from being part of something bigger than yourself.

Whether competing as teammates, coaching from the sideline or cheering each other on, these seven Bald Eagles continue to show that the Haven field hockey family is renowned all over the world.

And decades after first putting on the Lock Haven uniform, they are still playing, still competing and still proudly representing The Haven wherever the game takes them.
