The Toledo women's basketball team will play in its fifth straight Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals today, March 13. The No. 6 seed Rockets will face No. 2 seed Ball State from Rocket Arena in Cleveland.

Tipoff for today's game will be approximately 30 minutes after the Miami-Ohio game, at about 12:30 p.m.

Sophomore Miriam Diala and the Rockets will face No. 2 Ball State on today, March 13, marking the program's fifth-straight MAC Tournament semifinals appearance.

The Rockets (16-14) took down No. 3 seed UMass in Wednesday's quarterfinals in a 67-56 result. Tied at 44 in the fourth quarter, Toledo outscored the Minutewomen, 23-12, over the final 6:33, never losing the lead from that point on.

The backcourt trio of Patricia Anumgba, Ella Weaver and Kendall Carruthers combined for 51 points on the evening. Anumgba posted her first career double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Toledo also out-rebounded the Minutewomen, 46-31.

The Cardinals (26-6) eliminated No. 7 seed Bowling Green in a 75-63 result. Ball State got 25 points on 9-of-17 field goals from Grace Kingery and another 18 points from Bree Salenbein.

The two sides played twice in the regular season, both single-digit Ball State victories. BSU won, 72-68 in Muncie, Indiana, on Jan. 7 and 78-71 in Toledo on March 7. Both teams also will meet in Cleveland for the second-straight season, after a 65-58 victory for Ball State in last year's MAC championship game.
