Landsman Statement on Israel and Hamas Ceasefire

Cincinnati, OH - Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) released the following statement after the Gaza ceasefire deal began:

This is a hopeful moment.

The living hostages are home, and we could be nearing the end of this awful war.

What happens next will require enormous U.S. leadership - to help build and sustain a coalition of Arab, Israeli, and Palestinian leaders committed to rebuilding Gaza without Hamas and achieving a lasting peace.

This won't be easy and it's not going to happen over the course of a few days or weeks. This will require dedicated leadership and the broadest coalition possible for a sustained period of time - until we have a durable peace in the Middle East.
