Mayor Parker to Attend 31st annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service

The King Day of Service embraces and celebrates Dr. King's legacy of civil rights and social justice by transforming the King Holiday into a day of citizen action, which serves as a springboard to year-round community involvement.

Mayor Parker to Join Volunteers in Dr. King Day of Service Aimed at Helping Youth Students

Location: Frances E. Willard Elementary School, 1930 E. Elkhart Street, Philadelphia, PA

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of service, tutors with the nonprofit, Joyful Readers will gather at Frances E. Willard Elementary School in Kensington to create a brighter space for students and families in our community.

Mayor Parker will visit with volunteers who will paint vibrant, literacy-themed murals that transform the school and foster an environment where students can enjoy reading and academically engaging activities.
