TCAP Dashboard Now Live: District-Level Assessment Results Show Academic Gains Statewide

Districts Continue to Demonstrate Momentum Across All Regions

Nashville-Today, the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) is pleased to announce that the 2025-26 TCAP dashboard is now live, featuring state- and district-level results. TDOE is also thrilled to highlight districts that show gains in academic proficiency among students statewide, following the release of our state-level progress last month.

District-level TCAP assessment results provide a glimpse into each of Tennessee's school communities. During the 2025-26 school year, students took TCAP assessments in general education subject areas to collect valuable data and inform strategic decision-making on how best to support the success of all students. Overall, district participation was strong, with 141 districts achieving participation rates of 97% or higher, and 125 districts achieving participation rates of 99% or higher.

View the TCAP dashboard, where Tennesseans can filter results by grade, subject level, student groups, and communities. The dashboard results include exams in English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, and social studies, but do not include science, which is in a standard-setting year.

"These district-level results showcase the commitment and hard work of Tennessee districts and educators in preparing students for success," said Lizzette Reynolds, Commissioner of Education. "By leveraging this data to guide decisions and strategic investments, Tennessee is prepared for the work that lies ahead as we continue to put our students first."

"We are very proud of the significant gains made by our students, who benefited from the exceptional instruction provided by our math teachers," said John Bush, Director of Schools for Alvin C. "Multiple data points from daily checks for understanding, CFA and benchmark assessments, predictive data from TVAAS, standards analysis reports, and weekly data digs were used to meet students where they were and to drive future instruction, remediation, and enrichment for all students."

"This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and families," said Kim Worley, Director of Schools for Dyersburg City Schools. "We are incredibly proud of our students for the growth they have demonstrated and grateful to our educators who work tirelessly each day to meet every child where they are and help them reach their full potential. While we celebrate this achievement, we remain focused on ensuring every student continues to grow and thrive as we move our district forward together."

"Our teachers and support staff know that all students can learn at high levels, and we engage with our families in a collective effort to fulfill that commitment each day," said Jason Golden, Director of Schools for Williamson County Schools. "With coaching support and dedicated time for teacher teams to focus on each student's mastery of their course content, every student can grow. We're proud of last year's results, but this intentional focus toward every student's success is a continuing effort."

"As a team, we have been working hard to improve the proficiency rates on state assessments. We developed a strategic plan that serves as a guide for continuous improvement for the students in Morgan County," said Jamie Pemberton, Director of Schools for Morgan County Schools. "Our administrators, teachers, and staff have bought into the strategies that have been implemented. The success we have seen this year ultimately goes back to the hard work that all these individuals are doing on a daily basis."
