H World Receives Solenis Sustainability Award for Reducing Carbon Emissions and Energy Use Through Vacuum Cleaner Optimization

WILMINGTON, Del. (USA) - Solenis, a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, today announced that H World has been selected as a recipient of the Solenis Sustainability Award. The recognition highlights H World's vacuum cleaner optimization efforts, which were designed to reduce noise while lowering energy demand and carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions across its hotel operations.

Working with Diversey, a Solenis company, H World delivered the following sustainability benefits:

• Lower greenhouse gas emissions: Reduced CO₂e emissions by 14 tons per day, translating to more than 5,080 tons of CO₂e avoided annually
• Significant energy savings: Reduced refining electricity usage by 96,000 kilowatt-hours per day, equivalent to over 35 million kilowatt-hours saved per year.

By collaborating with Solenis to optimize vacuum cleaner performance, H World achieved dual reductions in energy usage and emissions across its operations while also enhancing the guest experience by reducing vacuum cleaner noise. These improvements directly support its environmental stewardship goals while maintaining strong machine performance.

The project demonstrates how targeted equipment upgrades and operational adjustments can deliver measurable sustainability gains.

Established in 2020, the Solenis Sustainability Awards recognize specific and verifiable customer projects that have, over a period of 12 months, delivered measurable results against at least one of five sustainability indicators: reduced water use, reduced energy consumption, decreased greenhouse gas emissions, optimized raw material utilization or reduced waste.
