Kamlager-Dove Announces Sylvia B. Joyner as her Joint Address Guest

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) announced that Sylvia B. Joyner, a former USAID worker and Acting President of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 1534, will accompany her to tomorrow's Joint Address.

"In a time when our federal government and its workforce are under relentless attack, I am deeply honored to welcome Sylvia B. Joyner as my guest for the Joint Address," said Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove. "In just over a month since taking office, Donald Trump has fired tens of thousands of federal workers, putting not only their livelihoods at risk but also the well-being of the millions of Americans they serve. Sylvia understands the devastating impact of this firsthand."

"As a 34-year veteran of USAID and Acting President of AFGE Local 1534, Sylvia is on the frontlines of fighting against Elon Musk's hostile government takeover. She has worked tirelessly to help hundreds of displaced federal employees rebuild their lives after being callously and recklessly removed from their careers of service to the United States. As Donald Trump addresses the nation, Sylvia is the perfect embodiment of the human toll his anti-American policies have caused," Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove concluded.
