BELTON, Texas - On Saturday, Nov. 8, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) will host its annual Military Appreciation celebration during the final home game of the Crusader football program's regular season. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., guests are invited to enjoy military-themed games, prizes, and activities on King Street, as well as a museum exhibit inside the Bawcom Student Union. Activities will remain open until kick-off at 1:00 p.m., when the UMHB Crusaders will face the Hardin-Simmons University Cowboys. The football game will feature tributes to American military soldiers and veterans.
Active-duty military personnel and veterans will receive free admission to the game. Additionally, the first 500 military guests to visit the designated students at each gate will also receive a concession voucher. All veterans and active-duty military personnel in attendance are invited to go on the field at halftime during the Armed Forces Salute for a time of recognition. Participants should make their way down to the tunnel with five minutes left in the second quarter if they'd like to be a part of this special celebration.
