Political Consultations Held Between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China

On April 20, 2026, Tashkent hosted a regular round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China.

The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Liu Bin.

During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Uzbekistan-China relations, noting the steady positive momentum of bilateral cooperation. The importance of implementing agreements reached at the highest and high levels, as well as strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership, was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, developing industrial collaboration, implementing joint infrastructure projects, and enhancing cooperation in high technologies, green energy, and digitalization.

The sides also reviewed issues of humanitarian cooperation, including the expansion of academic exchanges, joint educational programs, and cultural initiatives.

The parties exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues. They reaffirmed their readiness to continue coordination within international organizations, including the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the "Central Asia-China" format, and other multilateral frameworks.

Following the consultations, the parties expressed their mutual interest in further deepening Uzbekistan-China relations and ensuring the consistent implementation of the agreements reached.
