Webster University and St. Louis Community College (STLCC) are adding eight academic paths that make it easier for STLCC students to pursue bachelor's and master's degrees. This is part of an ongoing campaign by Webster to meet the needs of the growing population of college students starting their academic journeys at community colleges.
Last year, Webster and STLCC added four transfer paths to the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. Today's announcement adds School of Communications programs, increasing the number of options that community college students have for earning bachelor's or master's degrees to 27.
"These agreements will make it easier for community college students to seamlessly transfer into a four-year undergraduate program, and two of those programs will allow the students to continue into a master's program and finish the graduate degree within 12 months," said Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Thao Dang-Williams. "Overall, these articulation agreements will meet the students where they are now, letting them set their own educational paths while saving thousands of dollars."
Under the new agreement, STLCC students enrolled in their Associate of Arts in General Transfer Studies and transfer up to 64 units into the following Webster academic paths:
