DeSoto Utility Billing Transition Update

News & Updates Posted on November 05, 2026

Tyler Technologies, Paymentus, and City Utility Billing staff are working collaboratively each day to update and validate the customer information file while conducting nightly testing to verify the changes and accuracy of the data.

We are encouraged by the progress being made. Testing results have been positive, and the teams continue to identify and implement refinements to address the current challenges with utility bills and the online payment portal. While work remains underway, we are optimistic that these efforts are moving us closer to a successful resolution.

Our priority remains ensuring the accuracy of customer account information and providing a reliable billing and payment experience for our residents.

We appreciate your understanding as we work through this transition and will continue to provide updates as progress continues. Please remember during this transition, the City will not assess late fees or disconnect utility service for nonpayment.

Thank you for your partnership and cooperation as we complete these important system improvements
