Twenty graduating seniors this year received the Provost's Award for Academic Excellence. The students come from across academic disciplines and were recommended by their instructors and faculty mentors.
The award is given annually to students who have shown true academic excellence in the classroom, in research or creative activities, and in building an academic community. It is awarded by the Division of Undergraduate Education and the Office of the Provost.
"These students have each distinguished themselves for their hard work in their academic programs and their commitment to supporting their peers and the Stony Brook community," said Rachelle Germana, senior associate provost for undergraduate education. "We are so pleased to recognize their efforts with this award, and look forward to seeing where they go after graduation."
