Art in the Park 2025 is a community art project. It's offered through the City of Sunnyvale Public Art Program with support from the Sunnyvale Arts Commission in recognition of National Arts & Humanities Month.

What You'll Do - Get Creative!

• Create a work of art to help celebrate our community and show us your favorite spot in Sunnyvale.
• We'll provide a 3' x 3.5' prepared canvas.
• Canvases will be on display at Washington Park, 840 W. Washington Ave. (children's play area).
• Display period: Oct. 1 through Oct. 31

Who Can Participate

• Groups or individuals with a Sunnyvale address
• Ages 13 and up welcome (under the age of 13 may participate as part of a group)
• Designs must be preapproved and completed by Sept. 26

Design Imagery

Imagery must be related to our theme of Celebrate Sunnyvale. It must be appropriate for all ages and all community members. Canvases that include inappropriate or offensive language, statements or symbols will be disqualified.

Creating the Canvas

• Once your design is approved, pick up a canvas at the Sunnyvale Senior Center.
• Decorate only the front of the canvas.
• You are responsible for all supplies necessary to create your canvas.
• Use whatever materials inspire you.
• Your canvas will be displayed outdoors, so plan accordingly.
  • Consider finishing the canvas with a clear coat to protect it.
• Save a 4" by 4" blank space in the bottom right-hand corner of the canvas to add your name.
• Your canvas will be returned after the display upon request.

How to Apply

Your design must be preapproved and received by Sept. 26.
