The Chair of Oxfordshire County Council, Councillor Mark Lygo has represented the authority at remembrance commemorations in recent days.
He attended the Remembrance Sunday ceremony in Oxford on Sunday, 9 November and laid a wreath. He also oversaw a ceremony of remembrance at County Hall on Tuesday, 11 November.
The names of Oxfordshire County Council colleagues killed in action were read out and service personnel from Oxfordshire who died in the world wars and in later conflicts were also remembered.
Martin Reeves, Chief Executive, will laid a wreath on behalf of council colleagues. Deputy Lieutenant Brian Buchan also a wreath on behalf of HM The King.
