Safeguarding milk production stability in coordination with European Commission

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management requested urgent consultations with the European Commission today regarding current developments in the milk and dairy products market.

The statement reads that Serbia considers the discussion with the European Union institutions to be important, given the complex circumstances affecting this sector across the region and Europe.

The aim is to review current market trends in the partnership dialogue and consider possible approaches in the event of further market disruptions.

The Ministry remains committed to transparency, responsible conduct and compliance with international obligations, with the belief that coordination and open dialogue with the European Commission are in the common interest, the statement added.
