News outlets in North Carolina are writing about Republican primaries in which some candidates are running with the goal of undoing our state's common sense conservative reforms in state government.
One of the main culprits in this movement is the shadow PAC "NC Educators on the Ballot" and led by a registered Democrat.
Patricia Saylor, who created the shadow PAC, has earned plenty of media attention for the effort to recruit these counterfeit candidates to run against incumbent Republican legislators.
As seen in The Blue Ridge Times, each of these counterfeit candidates has made statements contrary to the state Republican platform and in support of liberal Democratic priorities.
These candidates have opposed President Trump's immigration policy, school choice, tax reform, and do not align with the North Carolina Republican Party platform.
"As North Carolina continues to move towards Republicans, some disingenuous bad actors now want to play games in our primaries. We trust that on March 3 conservative voters across our state will select Republican candidates who will support the family first agenda that's made our state the best place to live, work, and retire," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.
