President Meloni meets with the President of the Swiss Confederation

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a meeting today with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, in the margins of the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan.

During the discussion, President Meloni took note of President Parmelin's political commitment to ensuring that the families of the Italian youngsters affected by the Crans Montana tragedy would not be required to cover any costs relating to the hospital treatment provided in Switzerland.

With regard to the issue of the billing of hospital expenses between the two States, President Parmelin pointed out that the Swiss Federal Council is currently carrying out in-depth assessments aimed at identifying an acceptable solution. Expressing her appreciation for the attention shown, President Meloni reaffirmed her full readiness to maintain constant dialogue in order to facilitate a swift and definitive resolution of the matter.
