Ramp and lane closures on U.S. 101 at SR-92 in San Mateo, June 9-10

Nighttime closures between 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.

San Mateo County ― Caltrans is continuing work on the U.S. 101- State Route 92 (SR-92) Short-term Improvements Project in San Mateo County. Crews will remove concrete barriers, also known as "K-Rail", which will require nighttime ramp closures over the course of two nights, Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. The work will take place at various locations, including:

  • Southbound U.S. 101 off-ramp to Fashion Island Blvd.
  • Southbound U.S. 101 connector to eastbound and westbound SR-92
  • Fashion Island Blvd. on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101
  • Westbound SR-92 connector to southbound U.S. 101
  • Mariners Island off-ramp from SR-92
  • Eastbound SR-92 from northbound and southbound U.S. 101

Drivers should follow posted detour signs and allow extra time.

This work is part of the $45M U.S. 101- SR-92 Short-term Improvements Project that is co-sponsored by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and City/County Association of Governments. The project will bring operational improvements, enhancement to local access, and promotion of economic vitality to the region.
