WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 5, 2026) - Paralyzed Veterans of America and longtime partner Weis Markets kicked off their annual four-week round up campaign, encouraging customers across Weis Markets seven-state service area to donate to veterans living with spinal cord injuries and diseases, including MS and ALS. The in-store campaign runs through October 31, 2026.
"Partnerships with companies, like Weis Markets, are at the very heart of everything PVA does," said Carl Blake, Chief Executive Officer of Paralyzed Veterans of America. "Their commitment helps make it possible for us to continue providing the specialized services, vital research, and relentless advocacy our members depend on. We are grateful for their longstanding partnership and look forward to many more years of working together to make a meaningful difference for disabled veterans and all people with disabilities."
Through Halloween, Weis Markets customers can support PVA at the register by donating $1, $3 or $5, or by rounding up their total. Funds raised will be donated by the Weis Markets Charitable Foundation towards PVA's dual mission of serving veterans with spinal cord injuries and diseases, while advancing the rights and well-being of all people with disabilities.
"At Weis Markets, we're dedicated to serving the communities where we operate, and partnerships with organizations like PVA are critical to our commitment," said Maria Rizzo, Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Weis Markets. "We're proud of our longstanding partnership with PVA, and incredibly grateful to our customers and associates who help us to make such an impactful contribution each year."
PVA's partnership with Weis Markets dates back to 2016 and has included involvement in a number of PVA programs and initiatives, including its Honor the Spot public service announcement. This PSA, which raises awareness about the importance of accessible parking spaces, was filmed in the parking lot of Weis Markets' Brunswick, Maryland, store and continues to play across the U.S. today.
