Media accreditation opens for eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Doha, 15 to 19 December 2025

VIENNA, 29 September (UN Information Service) - The eleventh session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11) - also known as the UN Anti-Corruption Conference - will take place in Doha, Qatar, from 15 to 19 December 2025.

The conference is the world's largest international gathering dedicated to combating corruption and the main policymaking body of the Convention. It will bring together representatives from governments, regional and intergovernmental organizations, civil society, and the private sector. More than 2,000 participants, including high-level officials, are expected to attend.

Held under the theme "Shaping Tomorrow's Integrity", COSP11 will focus on addressing new and emerging threats in the fight against corruption and strengthening international cooperation to match the realities of today's complex criminal activities.

A wide range of topics will be discussed, including:

  • harnessing AI and new technologies to transform anti-corruption efforts in preventing and detecting corruption;
  • the links between corruption and economic and organized crime and the need for international cooperation to expose criminal networks and ensure accountability;
  • measures to help countries strengthen public financial systems, improve transparency, and reduce illicit financial flows;
  • solutions to strengthen anti-corruption efforts in the private sector and shape the future of global business integrity;
  • the importance of safeguarding investigative journalism, media professionals and whistle-blowers who expose corruption.

The United Nations Convention against Corruption is the only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument. Every two years, the Parties to the Convention convene to review its implementation and discuss ways to improve cooperation between States to achieve the Convention's objectives.

Media representatives wishing to cover the conference are advised to apply for accreditation in advance through the United Nations INDICO platform. Onsite registration at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel will be very limited. Criteria for media accreditation and information on the documents required are available on the UN Information Service website. Facilities for the media, including a media centre and a press briefing room, will be available at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.
