Senator Schmitt Applauds Senate Confirmation of Zachary Bluestone for the Eastern District of Missouri

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) issued the following statement celebrating the Senate confirmation of Zachary Bluestone to serve as a judge for the Eastern District of Missouri. Bluestone worked with Senator Schmitt as Deputy Solicitor General during his tenure as Missouri's Attorney General.

"Zachary Bluestone is a highly experienced attorney of the highest moral and intellectual fiber - a lawman through and through. I was deeply impressed by his work in the Missouri Attorney General's office when I was AG, where I saw his tireless devotion to the Constitution and the rule of law firsthand. I thank President Trump for nominating this highly-qualified candidate to serve on the bench and my Senate colleagues for their support," said Senator Schmitt.

This is the third judicial Senate confirmation for the Eastern District of Missouri. Senator Schmitt worked closely with President Trump and the White House to ensure Missouri's judicial appointments were among the first in the nation.
