Bettendorf Transit Asking for Input from Riders

Bettendorf Transit Asking for Input from Riders

June 2, 2026 - The City of Bettendorf's Transit Division, along with its partners in Davenport, Eldridge, and LeClaire, is asking residents to share their experiences and ideas to improve public transportation in Scott County.

A survey is now available for the month of June 2026 as part of a regional transit study made possible by a grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation. The study aims to determine how public transportation services can be optimized to better meet the needs of riders in all four communities. Results from the survey will be compiled with ridership data and input from several focus groups held over the last few months. Initial findings will be shared in a draft report by early 2027, and then the four communities will host a series of public comment sessions prior to any changes being adopted by the transit systems.

"This survey is a great opportunity for the public to let us know what is working well and also what needs to change," said Bettendorf Transit Manager Austin Whelan. "We want to hear from riders, non-riders, and potential riders as we plan for the future of transit here in Bettendorf and the greater region as a whole."
