Statement from CEO Stefani Pashman on Corey O’Connor’s City of Pittsburgh Mayoral Victory

PITTSBURGH - November 5, 2025 - "On behalf of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, we congratulate Corey O'Connor on his victory in the City of Pittsburgh's mayoral race.

The City of Pittsburgh is an important core connector in our region. The Allegheny Conference looks forward to working with Mayor O'Connor, and his administration in support of a growing and thriving regional economy - one where Pittsburgh continues to accelerate regional competitiveness and vibrancy. It is the Conference's mission to work with leaders across our region and across parties to drive inclusive growth for our people, our businesses, and our communities.

During the campaign, the Conference appreciated learning about Mayor O'Connor's pro-growth agenda for the city and exchanging ideas and opportunities for partnership - including in accelerating our progress towards a future-focused, thriving, safe downtown neighborhood.

We are also thankful to outgoing Mayor Ed Gainey for his critical partnership in projects like the Downtown Pittsburgh Vision Plan and will continue to build upon this work."
