Winter Hours of Operation

Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site and Johnstown Flood National Memorial begin winter hours of operation on December 1, 2024.

The following buildings will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays:

Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site

• Visitor Center
• Engine House No. 6 Exhibit Shelter
• Lemon House

Johnstown Flood National Memorial Park buildings are open Fridays through Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Daily hours of operation will resume on May 1, 2025. Park grounds and trails are open daily, year-round, from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting.
