Tempe This Week Jan. 12, 2026

Residents from across the Valley will come together at Tempe Town Lake on Saturday, Jan. 24, for the annual Regional Unity Walk, a free community event that celebrates unity, mutual respect and understanding.

Each year, neighbors from Chandler, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Mesa, Phoenix and Tempe gather for a one-mile walk that begins and ends at Tempe Beach Park, creating a shared moment of connection across communities.

The evening starts with a community festival at 4:30 p.m., featuring music, food and family-friendly activities. The walk begins at 6 p.m., offering participants a chance to walk side by side in support of building stronger, more connected communities. Free t-shirts will be available while supplies last.

Whether you come for the festival, the walk or both, the Regional Unity Walk offers a chance to connect with neighbors and celebrate the values we share.
