10 years return monitoring in the EU
The Greek Ombudsman hosted an event on the occasion of ten years of forced return monitoring under the EU Return Directive.
At the event, FRA noted that across the EU, in 2024 there was a decline of return monitoring, with five Member States not having conducted any return monitoring during the whole year.
