'Technology Through Time' featured at ND Heritage Center

March 13, 2026

BISMARCK, N.D. - Visit the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck March 28-April 8 for "Technology Through Time." Visitors are invited to experience and enjoy vintage technology throughout the day in the State Museum hallway.

Before phones fit in pockets and music streamed from the internet, people had to work a little harder for their entertainment. Imagine typing a report using a manual typewriter, where every letter goes click-clack. Video games? Atari made them blocky but brilliant. And if you wanted to call a friend, you had to spin the rotary phone's dial and forget about caller ID. Vintage tech may seem old-school, but it paved the way for everything we use today.
