The DMACC Foundation has announced the appointment of Amanda Nuzum as its new Executive Director, effective January 15, 2026.
Nuzum brings more than 18 years of nonprofit leadership experience, with a strong record of success in fund development, donor relations, and strategic planning. Her background includes leadership roles across Central Iowa's nonprofit sector, where she has built and managed comprehensive fundraising programs, overseen capital and major gift campaigns, and strengthened donor engagement strategies.
Most recently, Nuzum served as Vice President of Development and Marketing and Chief Development Officer at the Mid-Iowa Council, Scouting America. Her previous experience includes senior development roles at Blank Park Zoo and the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, where she led fundraising, communications, and donor stewardship efforts during periods of organizational growth.
"The DMACC Foundation is a crucial partner in our efforts to change lives and strengthen communities through in-demand education and training. We are excited to collaborate with Executive Director Nuzum in honoring our donors' generosity towards student support and success, and innovative program development," DMACC Interim President Liang Chee Wee said in his welcome.
As Executive Director, Nuzum will lead the DMACC Foundation's fundraising and engagement efforts in support of student scholarships, academic programs, and institutional priorities.
"I am inspired by the Foundation's role in strengthening student success while also serving as a critical partner to employers and communities throughout our state and beyond," Nuzum said. "Leading the DMACC Foundation allows me to bring together my passion for mission-driven work with an organization that is poised for continued growth, innovation, and community impact."
