The Csíksomlyó Pilgrimage is one of the most important connection points for Hungarian national unity and the power of faith, attracting tens of thousands of Hungarians from all corners of the world once again this year. Head of State Tamás Sulyok attended the event for the third time as President of Hungary.
Year after year, the Csíksomlyó Pilgrimage has been one of the most defining spiritual and communal events for the Hungarian people, closely intertwined with the idea of national unity. The pilgrims turned to the Virgin Mary in communal prayer, praying for one another, for their homeland and for the future of the nation.
The President of Hungary emphasised: "It is in Csíksomlyó that the unity of the nation comes to life." He also drew attention to the need to give thanks for the spiritual bond that unites us and, spanning generations, strengthens the Hungarian community throughout the world.
