Notice of Final Finding & Decision
Section Line Easement Vacation
EV 3-404
The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water has issued a Final Finding & Decision (FFD) for a section line easement vacation for EV 3-404. This Final Finding & Decision compliments and confirms the Preliminary Decision (PD) for EV 3-404 approved on October 20, 2025. The FFD is giving contingent approval to a petition to vacate portions of 50-foot section line easements (SLEs) in an area being subdivided as West Cohoe Subdivision, located along the west bank of Lower Cohoe Lake and approximately 3,000 feet westerly of Upper Cohoe Lake. This action falls within the S½SW¼ of Section 22, the NW¼ of Section 27, and the NW¼NE¼ Section 27, T3N, R12W, S.M., Alaska, as depicted on Attachment A. The proposed vacation has been reviewed by the Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB) and has been deemed acceptable by the KPB Planning Department. Please see the Final Finding & Decision for full details.
EV 3-404 Preliminary Decision was publicly noticed from October 21, 2025 through November 20, 2025.
