LOS ANGELES, CA - Earlier this month, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) secured $11,560,000 in Community Project Funding for California's 37th Congressional District through the Fiscal Year 2026 government funding process.
"I am proud to deliver $11.5 million for fifteen community projects across our district," said Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove. "These investments will make a meaningful difference in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing Los Angeles: combating the housing crisis, expanding safe access to public transportation, and improving health outcomes for our most vulnerable community members. Rep. Kamlager-Dove obtained Community Project Funding for the following projects:

$2,600,000 for the Los Angeles County Metro Regional Stop Enhancement Project: This project will fund bus shelters and bus stop improvements in disadvantaged communities across Los Angeles County.

$1,039,000 for the Exposition Park Public Safety Parkwide Surveillance Project: This project will enhance public safety and resilience at one of the nation's most visited public spaces ahead of major global events, including the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

$1,200,000 for the Culver City Hydrogen Bus Pilot Project: This project will fund two electric buses, bringing Culver City closer to meeting California's goal of zero-emission public buses by 2040.

$1,031,000 for the Rebuilding Lives - Curbing the Opioid Crisis Project: This project will provide integrated services, supportive housing, and employment training to help Angelenos aged 75 and older recover from substance use disorders and achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

$1,000,000 for the Culver City Crossroads Community Connector Project: This project will improve safety for bicyclists and pedestrians on Overland Avenue through protected bike lanes and curb extensions.

$850,000 for the Inside Safe Project: This project will support the purchase, renovation, and maintenance of housing facilities within the Inside Safe program.

$850,000 for the Urban Awnings Project: This project will rehabilitate an 18-unit property in South Los Angeles, with 17 units dedicated to housing low-income families.

$850,000 for the Jubilo Village Affordable Housing Project: This project will develop a 93-unit multifamily housing community with onsite supportive services for at-risk and low-income households in Culver City.

$500,000 for the Vermont Manchester Transit Priority Project: This project will deliver active transportation infrastructure improvements for an affordable housing development at Vermont and Manchester Avenues.

$440,000 for the Launchpad for Learning Project: This project will establish a STEM innovation center at Carver Middle School, offering students hands-on training in robotics, 3D printing, and engineering.

$250,000 for the Veteran Wellness Project: This project will provide low- and moderate-income veterans with free access to a dedicated gym space at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall.

$250,000 for the Broadway Sur Project: This project will deliver safety, lighting, and beautification improvements along 2.8 miles of Manchester Avenue and South Broadway to reduce traffic collisions, encourage walking and biking, and boost commercial activity.

$250,000 for the Pueblo Del Rio Air Conditioners Project: This project will install energy-efficient air conditioning units at the Pueblo del Rio Public Housing site, providing critical heat relief for 1,792 residents.

$250,000 for the South LA Community Food Hall Project: This project will rehabilitate a 5,291-square-foot commercial building into a vibrant hub for 8-10 small businesses along the Vermont Corridor.

$200,000 for the Blackwelder Community Greenbelt Project: This project will transform underutilized land along Ballona Creek into a vibrant green space with recreational opportunities and enhanced flood management.
