iNNoX Zone: NEWPORT NEWS EXCHANGE COMING NOVEMBER 1

Newport News, VA - The City of Newport News invites residents and local business owners to take part in iNNoX Zone: Newport News Exchange, a one-day interactive civic innovation experience designed to explore and shape the city's future. The event will take place on Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Denbigh Community Center (15198 Warwick Blvd.).

The iNNoX Zone encourages participants to explore, exchange, and experience new ideas about city life through a series of hands-on, gamified activities. These interactive stations will collect real-time feedback from attendees, providing valuable insights to help guide city planning, enhance services, and strengthen community connections.

"This event is about co-creating the future of Newport News," said City Manager Alan K. Archer. "We want to hear directly from the people who live, work, and play here-what they value most, what challenges they see, and what ideas they have for making our city even stronger."

Open to all ages, the iNNoX Zone offers a unique opportunity for community members to:

  • Share ideas about how the city can grow and evolve
  • Connect with others who are passionate about improving Newport News
  • Experience innovation through interactive exhibits and creative engagement tools

Participation is free, and no registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to drop in any time during event hours. The event will include youth activities for ages 6-12, free childcare for potty-trained children ages 3-5, prizes and giveaways, and a variety of food trucks will be on site.
