SMUD hosts Back-to-School Launch Party at MOSAC

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento-area teachers, homeschool educators and other instructors will ring in the new school year at a launch party hosted by SMUD, MOSAC, and the Sacramento County Office of Education at the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity.

Teachers will participate in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities, and receive curriculum ideas and take-away activities for their students related to STEM careers in aviation, space, technology and energy. They will also enjoy networking opportunities, refreshments, food, music, raffles and a year-long membership to the museum.

SMUD's education programs are part of SMUD's longstanding commitment to helping local educators connect students with STEM concepts and career pathways.

Local educational leaders including from MOSAC, Sacramento Republic FC, Sacramento State, National University, Cal EPIC, Inspirame, Department of Water Resources and will be there to showcase their educational resources through hands-on activities and more.
