Mike Levin Doubles Down on Soft-on-Crime Lunacy

Mike Levin Doubles Down on Soft-on-Crime Lunacy

September 17, 2025

Out of touch Democrat Mike Levin just voted against the DC Crimes Act, once again choosing his soft-on-crime policies over protecting our nation's communities.

The commonsense bill blocks the D.C. Council from weakening criminal sentences, ends the absurd practice of letting 24-year-old offenders be treated as "youths," and forces transparency by requiring public reporting of youth crime data - yet Levin just voted against it.

This isn't the first time Levin has chosen criminals over public safety. His record speaks for itself:

  • Voted against putting an end to the D.C. Council's sanctuary policies.
  • Voted against supporting law enforcement recently removed by the D.C. Council's Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022
  • Voted against condemning the violent riots that have taken place in Los Angeles, California and expressing gratitude to law enforcement officers and ICE agents for their work in keeping America safe.

"This is a clear and concerning pattern: out of touch Democrat Mike Levin will always side with soft-on-crime, far-left radicals over safer communities. It's dangerous and absurd, but par for the course for Levin." - NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
