Bike to Work Day is tomorrow; riders can visit more than 40 breakfast stations across Colorado Springs

Grab your helmet, pump up your tires and get ready to ride. Bike to Work Day returns to Colorado Springs tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24, with more than 40 breakfast stations across the city welcoming cyclists with free food, refreshments and community spirit.

An interactive citywide map is available to help riders plan their route and find breakfast stations along Colorado Springs' bike lanes, trails and transportation network. Whether riding across town or just around the neighborhood, cyclists can use the map to choose stops, discover new routes and make the most of their Bike to Work Day experience.

Thousands of riders are expected to take part in the annual celebration of cycling, active transportation and healthy living. From neighborhood trails to major bike corridors, breakfast stations hosted by local businesses, organizations and community partners will help fuel riders throughout the morning.

For a daily bike commuter, an occasional rider or someone considering their first trip to work by bike, Bike to Work Day offers a fun and easy way to experience Colorado Springs from a different perspective.

Participants are encouraged to plan their routes in advance, ride safely, wear a helmet and visit one or more breakfast stations along the way.

Bike to Work Day is part of a nationwide effort to encourage bicycling as a practical, healthy and environmentally friendly transportation option. It also highlights the role cycling plays in supporting cleaner air, reducing traffic congestion and promoting active lifestyles.
