Bismarck, ND - Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND) will join Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) in welcoming U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins to North Dakota on Tuesday, April 22. The group will host a roundtable discussion with local commodity groups and producers at North Dakota State University (NDSU), meet with NDSU Ag student leaders, participate in an agriculture technology demonstration at Grand Farm, and more.
"I'm excited to join Sen. Hoeven in welcoming Secretary Rollins to North Dakota and showing her one of the things our state does best-agriculture," Rep. Fedorchak said. "Our farmers and ranchers are second to none, and their work not only drives our state's economy but helps feed and fuel the world. I look forward to highlighting the innovation happening here, from family farms to precision ag, and working with the Trump administration to make sure the farm bill reflects the needs of producers across rural America."
"Our farmers, ranchers and agri-businesses have built North Dakota into a world leader in production agriculture," Senator Hoeven said. "Their feedback will be invaluable to Secretary Rollins as she works with us to keep the farm in the farm bill. At the same time, this visit will enable her to see the exciting new developments in precision agriculture that are happening right here in the Red River Valley. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the partnerships we've worked to craft between Grand Farm, NDSU and others and secure key support for strengthening such initiatives."
