Region I Administrator Michael Banks Visits Adept Materials' Exhibit of Lilypad
MASSACHUSETTS - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) spotlighted housing innovations from the New England region during the sixth annual Innovative Housing Showcase, held September 22-24, on the National Mall. This year's theme, "Made in America," highlighted American ingenuity and innovative approaches to expanding housing affordability and homeownership.
"Communities across New England continue to look at new ways to expand their housing stock," said Region I Administrator Michael Banks. "At the Innovative Housing Showcase, I was encouraged to see how local companies are working alongside HUD to build more homes and make the American Dream of homeownership a reality."
HUD's "Made in America" Showcase spotlighted American builders, manufacturers, and innovators' modern technologies and creative housing solutions that are expanding housing supply, lowering construction costs, and putting affordable homeownership back in reach for hardworking Americans. The Showcase featured a variety of full-scale housing models including manufactured, 3D printed, and modular homes built by American companies from across the nation.
