On behalf of everyone at ILMO, and especially our team members who live and work in the Mattoon area, I want to express our deepest gratitude and respect for the professionalism demonstrated on the evening of December 16, 2025.
The speed, coordination, and expertise with which first responders reacted was nothing short of impressive. The amount of preparation, training, and effort required to respond effectively to a scene like this is overwhelming, and it does not go unnoticed. Your ability to act decisively and work together under pressure speaks volumes about your commitment to public safety and service.
We are incredibly thankful not only for your actions, but also for the outpouring of support, concern, and offers of assistance we have received. That sense of community means more than words can fully express.
ILMO has been proud to be part of Mattoon-across several locations-for more than 60 years. Throughout that time, the people of Mattoon and the surrounding communities have always treated us with kindness, integrity, and support. Moments like this remind us just how fortunate we are to be part of such a strong and caring community.
