Submissions for NCBA’s 2nd annual IMPACT Film Fest are due July 31

Submit your story for a chance to be featured at IMPACT 2026. Here, Esteban Kelly and Mo Manklang from the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives accept the award for Best Social Media Video at last year's conference.

There are six weeks left to submit your co-op's video story for a chance to win a $2,000 cash prize and recognition at our 2nd annual IMPACT Film Fest! Plus, you'll be contributing to a co-op video collection everyone can use for public awareness, advocacy and education work.

Now through July 31, we're accepting videos that showcase how cooperatives transform communities, businesses and the broader economy. This year's film fest will again award the best Long Form, Short Form and Social Media videos at our IMPACT Conference in October in Washington, DC.

The winning video in each category will receive a $2,000 cash prize. We'll feature the winning submissions at the 2026 Cooperative IMPACT Conference-and a representative from each winning co-op will have the opportunity to participate on a panel discussion on Thursday, October 9.

Introducing this year's selection committee

We're excited to welcome a wider selection committee this year to lead the scoring process. This year's selection committee includes Ebony Gustave (Art.coop); Mamihasina Raminosoa (Digital Development Communications); Leah Galant and Tristan Daley with Meerkat Media, a production company cooperative and artist collective; Mandy Makinen (National Co+op Grocers); and Mary Alex Blanton (National Cooperative Bank).

Video submissions will be scored on the following criteria:

  • Clear impact on co-op members and/or community
  • Effective storytelling
  • Impact on viewer/audience
  • Technical quality (audio and visual) and alignment with general submission criteria

Recognizing our Film Fest sponsors

Once again, we're grateful to National Co+op Grocers, our premier film fest sponsor. We also want to thank Principle 6 Cooperative, a new film fest sponsor this year, and our in-kind film fest sponsors, Digital Development Communications (DDC) and Art.coop.
