In 2025, our Instagram #TerrierTuesdays series continued to spotlight the incredible students who make up the Boston University community. Each week, a new Terrier took over the BU Instagram to give followers an inside look at their life on campus, from how they first found their footing at BU to the opportunities they've embraced to the goals they're chasing next. They invited us into their routines, passions, and creative pursuits, all while connecting with viewers who chimed in with questions and support. Although every takeover told a different story, we ended each one with the same question: "What advice would you give to your fellow Terriers?" Here's what they had to say:

"Follow your true interests, and what you find is fun because that will be what makes BU special for you. Always find ways to have fun."

"Trust the process! I know that everyone says that, but truly trust the process. No matter how near or far you may feel from your original plans, you will end up exactly where you are meant to be. It is also increasingly important to use your voice-please do! You are given the freedom of speech for a reason; do not let it go to waste, and please advocate for those who can't."

"Do everything you can, say yes to everything, safely, of course. No one here knows who you were before; take the opportunity to completely reinvent yourself and discover who you are. Also, call your parents, I promise they wanna hear about your adventures."

Helen Lallos-Harrell (CAS'27)

"It's going to be okay. No matter how many curveballs are thrown at you or how much doubt creeps in, you will be all right. College is tough, but you can succeed in whatever capacity that looks like to you. It takes time, but you will get there."

Camille Morocco (COM '26, CAS'26)

"Get involved early, try things you've never done before, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. The best opportunities I've had at BU came from saying 'yes' and figuring the rest out along the way."

"Get out of your comfort zone. Make new friends. Be kind, just because. And make the most of your time here, because it's going to go by so fast."

"Don't stress about what others are doing. Don't join clubs or organizations because you think it's what employers want to see-do what interests and excites you!"

Rebecca Peng (CAS'25)

"You have to put yourself out there! Your BU experience is what you make of it, and there is never harm in taking a chance."

Catherine Knox (CAS'26)
